I have a bicolor blenny I bought as one of my original fish about 10 months ago. When I bought him, he was very small (probably less than an inch), he has grown well and thrived in my system and is now maybe 2.5-3 inches. He has lost the red tail and is now totally black. Eats all food like a horse. The reason he is being exiled is that he has turned into a clam nipper. My clam hasn't been opening all the way for about a month now and it has toppled from the rock he was on (it's attached to a small piece of rubble and I placed it on the rock about midway up the tank). I though maybe it didn't like this location and leapt, so I left it on the rubble piece in the sand. Still not as open all the time. Well, I know why. I saw the blenny go up to the clam and take a ferocious bite at it!!! He also has been seen nipping at my poscillipora which isn't so fluffy looking anymore. So, bye-bye blenny. If you have a clamless tank with softies and LPS, this fish should be a nice addition (he has a funny personality). Anyone interested???
