Looks like Cirripectes stigmaticus, but I never saw one with red that bright. Is this photoshoped? And do you know where is it from?

Luiz is obviously correct on the ID and that exact picture is from an old reef builders article. On a related note, Pacific Island Aquatics had one (maybe more in stock) that looked really great recently.

It's one of those fish I've wanted for a while, but I literally have never seen one locally. I can't justify paying shipping for one online because it'd more than double the price (if I only ordered that fish) and I don't have room to put anymore fish if I were to go for free shipping.

I really wanted one, but the more research I did, the more I found that they don't normally have the vivid, contrasting colors "turned on"... they are rather muted normally. Someone can correct me if I am wrong on this, since I don't actually own one.

they are not as bright as that photo.

at least not after awhile.

all the stigmaticus blennies we've received from vanuatu turned dull dark blackish colouration with faint red squiggles.
