So this was the best shot I could get of it, it sits just behind his fin when not in use.

He's been in QT since friday, eating fine & doesn't appear to be scratching at it.

Looks like Lymphocystis; a virus many fish carry for life (think herpes in humans).

Maintaining excellent water quality and feeding vitamin enriched foods usually helps symptoms subside.
