Hoping you reefers can help me -
Purchased a Blotchy Anthias from a LFS about 3 weeks ago. Prior to my purchase, I saw him twice over a month at the LFS. He was swimming and eating normally and he was in a tank with a larger blotchy and a clownfish. I decided on him over the larger one because the larger seemed more aggressive but he was by no means, shy or wimpy.
Since my purchase, he's been in my QT. He doesn't swim normally as he did at the LFS. He stays in one corner of the tank and doesn't venture out unless it's for food, then quickly returns to his corner. He swims with his head down and tail up or vice versa and swims at an angle. If he has swim bladder, shouldn't this work itself out by now? He has no apparent sign of illness or injury, he eats mysis and his eyes are clear. So far, I've treated him with Maracyn 2, did a water change and have medicated the tank with PraziPro for the past week. He is the only fish in my 20g QT. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks to all!
