So I went ahead and got a 20K Radium replacement bulb for my 28G JBJ as it seemed the time had come for a replacement...Wow! is all I can say!
The original bulb was a 150W HQI 14K JBJ stock that came with the tank. I liked the look of it too, but wow is there a difference. Colors are really popping out effecting both saturation and hue. For example, the Cherry Bombs that I bought from Aaron went from dull red, to a true cherry red.
I realize that there is a break-in period, but I am really liking it! I also realize now that I probably replaced the bulb just in time, as this 'appears' to be much brighter, and the shimmer effect from MH's is much more noticeable.
