Blu Leg Hermit Eating Acan

over the last few days I have noticed a few of my blue legs on a small acan colony I recently purchased. The colony has been getting great polyp extension since the purchase. I have noticed a few coral skeletons showing but there were a few present when I bought the piece. Today when I fed the fish i noticed where the on blue leg left to go after the pieces of food was a polyp that looked almost completely gone. There was just a small piece left.

Is this possible or is the acan just fading away and the crabs eating the struggling polyps? They all look very good and healthy though

Anything is possible, though I have plenty of the crabs in my tank and they don't touch the acans.

I just dont get it. right now there are 3 hermits sitting on the colony all in the same spot

I dont get it though. they polyps look better now than they did the day I bought them. its just 2 or 3 polyps that they are tearing apart

I will agree to this usually the CUC is just cleaning up what already is dead, I don't know if I have ever seen them on acans though.
