I cannot find any food with sponge in it locally. Do theyhave to have the sponge in the deit to live? Also how long can he/she go on Mysis shrimp and seaweed before I need to get the food. I am going to try to order from a local store so i can aoid the 25 dollar shipping cost on a 5.99 pak of food.

Mine has been eating mysis, shrimp, scallops, and nori. It eats just about anything I throw in the tank. When I got him back in August of last year, it was really skinny. I soak all their foods in vitamin and garlic for about 2 hours before I feed.

It'll be nice to have a variation-esp sponge, but not necessary. Mines luckily eats NLS 3mm pellets. Yet I still supplement with nori, frozen food of all kinds for variation.
