my tank got a little hot(83*)yesterday and today my blue haddoni carpet is shrunken. i usually keep my tank between 77.5 (@ night) and 81.1 (at its warmest) but my cooler crapped out on me. its been in my care for just over 4 months and has done nothing but gotten bigger and bigger everyday.

how do i care for this now sick jewel or is it just a gonner? is there anything i can do or do i just wait it out?

its my center piece of my 180 sps tank. it sits just on the outer rim of my halides and get very heavy flow.

any help is appreciated.

In my experience, that is a pretty natural reaction for an anemone after a situation like that. It should be back to its old glory in a day or two. Unfortunately, if he isn't, there isn't a lot you can do about it anyway, other than try to keep conditions in the tank as stable as possible.

Good luck, I've got my fingers crossed for you.

thank you, i guess i was afraid of that. now what is my white bonnet clown going to do? just take over the rest of the tank like she has the center? at least with the anemone, she had a central locale.

Hey, don't give up the ship yet! I would say that you have an 85% chance that your anemone will be fine.
Or did you just want to brag that you have a beautiful blue carpet AND a white cap clown :D
Any pic of the two together?

it is the only good i have. and i brag in other forums, not this one:) i try to come here for real questions. any ways the carpet is just flat. it kinda sux

If you direct a little more current towards it(but don't blow it around), that might help it perk up a bit.
Hang in there. My mertins carpet did the same thing, for the same reason as yours yesterday. It looked a little better this morning. By the time I got home from work it was about 95% it former self and took food tonight.

This was an anemone that has never deflated before for any reason. I know how you're feeling.

Oops, almost forgot. Thanks for the pic. They make a great pair.
