Blue Colony Polyps turning brown

My Blue Colony Polyps (Protopalythoa sp.) are turning brown. Im not sure if this is good or bad. They seem healthy but I just wondered why they turned brown. I have it 10" from the surface and about 14" from my TEK 6x54W lights. Could the lights be the problem?

Most blues polyps need less light IMO.Id move them to the bottom and see what happens.

ussually brown is a color indicator that the animal needs more light

Or it could be high levels of phosphates.

What about high nitrates, that will also couse them to turn brown.

just fyi these are zoanthid relatives and not LPS corals

PO4 and Nitrates are 0 so I tend to lean on the problem being lighting. I have a Tek light with 6x54W bulbs. 1 Actinic, 2 Blue Plus, 2 Aqua Blue and 1 Aqua Sun. Could the bulbs be the problem?

My blues do best up high and keep color and have multiply, move to the top. Blues and purples will tend to need more lighting.
