What color is it now?

My blue digi needed to be right underneath my 250wDE at the top of the tank for it to stay blue. I had the Aquaconnects 14k bulb.

I'm not familiar with Corallife bulbs. I have used CoralVue bulbs, they seem to have issues holding temp over any period of time, in my experience. My digi liks a LOT of light!

blue digis are one of the harder to keep colored montys in my book.i have coralife 250 watt 14 ks and it just barely gets to showing the blue on my monty digi.

14K have the lowest PAR ratings of all buld temps. Try XM 10Ks.

Glad I am not the only one having issues. I purchased a blue/purple (periwinkle?) digitata about six weeks ago and it browned out as well. I have it about 6" from the waters surface and have a 150 DE 14K Phoenix, but my tank is only 12" deep. FWIW, I started feeding DT's oyster eggs and lowered the light to about 5" above the water surface, and it got a little color back. Otherwise it's growing and has already encrusted on the live rock.

it was blue in my tank for a few weeks than it turned brown im going to try moving it up, i have no supplimental lighting at the moment, the tank it came from had 14k xms i believe, but i dont remember the placement.

My blue digi was brown when i got it and now its blue and has stayed blue for months.I also run a different kelvin bulb then most people.

Often corals brown when introduced into a new tank. Do you feed the corals? I've had some success with feeding, they seem to color up faster.

Try a lower kelvin bulb.

i have blue, pink, purple, and orange digi under a 14k phoenix 250watt. they all have great colors, and have never browned out on me. there are all about 12 to 16 inches under the light in a high flow area of my reef.

Fishaholic...VERY NICE! I have Purple, Red, Orange, Green and German Green Skeleton with Blue Polyps Digi. I've never seen pink nor a true blue Digi. Where are these colors available?
