Blue Face Angel in a reef?

I am converting to a 10x2x2-300 gallon reef tank and selling both my 135's. The only fish in the FOWLR I hate to part with is a 6" blue face angel with adult coloration I have had for a year. I have heard no to a reef and I have heard with caution depending on your corals. I have shrooms, brains, hammers, frogspawn, disc, bubble and an acan. My other concern is compatability. The other inhabitants I already have would be fairy and flasher wrasses, clownfish, jawfish, diamond goby, chromis, flame angel, yellow, hippo, naso tangs and a foxface. Do you think it would bother the smaller fish and do you think it would bother these corals? Possibly being a long and large tank might make it work? I guess I could possibly try and be prepared to move him. He is just a great looking fish I don't want to give up unless I have to. Any thoughts or experiences with the larger angels in a reef setting?

I used to have one in my reef. It would pick on clams, and scolemias. It never bothered any smaller fish though.

My blue face eats zoanthids like candy, and he sometimes picks at my S. haddoni carpet anemone, but I have SPS, LPS and a few softies, none of which he bothers.

He's also in with several tangs, a Regal angel and a couple dwarf angels...the only fish he used to pick on regularly was the Regal (he was pretty well established when the Regal was added) but they pretty much just ignore each other now.

Thanks for the replies. Mine is currently in with the foxface, the naso and the ones I know won't work, porc puffer, huma trigger and a lunare wrasse. He has a cave he stays in and around most of the time. He gave the foxface a little chase at first when he came to close to his area but that subsided after a couple of days and now doesn't bother anyone but he is in with a couple of roughnecks but nothing as small as the wrasses.

Why can't the luner go into your tank also. They don't touch corals just shrimp. I'd rather have the wrasse then shrimp any day. I wouldn't get rid of that blue face either he's a beaute. So what if he eats the zoo's.

I don't have any zoos so it may work. I'll give it a try. I have had him for about a year and watched him go through his color change. As for the lunar wrasse I do have 2 cleaner and 2 fire shrimp. The other problem with him is he wipes out my cleaner crew as well. He is highly aggressive and will eat anything that fits his mouth. I had a harlequin tusk that died and when I replaced it the wrasse almost killed it and I had to pull it out. So with the lunar I can't have a cleanup crew which is why I am getting out of FOWLR and going reef and he is too agressive for the other tank mates. It is a great looking fish with lots of personality though.
