Blue Gig deflating after 1 year

Very nice... How is the rock anemone doing?

I am looking for a gig just like yours, for a similar layout in a 120.

What rock do you have it on?

Rock nem is doing good as well.

Its on "real reef" rock which i can't remember who makes it but i wanna say Marco rock

I liked that it already has a purplish color to it when purchased

Yeah... Question.. was it dry or wet when you got it? Was it shipped or did you pick it up?

I am looking at getting some.. but on the fence over it.

I picked it up at my local LFS but he had it in a bin with heat and flow without lights. It came already purplish in color when he receives shipments. Not coraline but similar in color

Yes that is what I have read also... I did not know if it did the same curing as dry rock did or if it was safe to 'plug and play' or drop and swim type rock... or if I needed to cure it.

I am unsure of the outer feel or porous aspect of the stuff either.

I ended up just dropping it in and letting the nem attach itself , I didn't have any issues associated with rock cycling in tank. It had the look of dark coralline and maybe not as porous as other rock but I really liked the look and not having the whitish dead rock appearance

Nice to see the gig is doing well.

When I dosed reef energy A and B, the only change I noticed was cyano. It could be user error, but I have heard similar stories and stopped using it.

Also, I have some of that real reef rock... Good stuff. I like the shapes and the fact that it's already purple. I dropped the rock right in the rank (twice actually, and small amounts each) and didn't notice any issues. I do wonder how porous the rock actually is because the purple is "painted" on.

My LFS texted me the other day and wanted me to come in and look at the shipment they just got in.

I was wondering before I actually went and saw it.
