Does anyone keep a Blue Girdled Angelfish in your reef tank, and how does it behave? Does it nip at your corals, clams? I really like this fish and have wanted one for years, I know they are not reef safe but has anyone tried? I will be moving my reef from a 75gal to 180gal in a few months. My inhabitants are sps, lps, clams and softies....will I be ok or is this a setup for disaster?

i keep a majesteic .All he nips on is my acans and once i feed him he leaves them alone for a day or two.at this point he is trained to nip on my acans to let me know he is hungry

pics are always nice

I have had one in a reef tank (SPS, LPS, softies/zoanthids, and clams) for almost 2 years, and he has been a model citizen.

Mine has never touched SPS or leather corals and hasn't bothered my LTA anemone. Clams and LPS are going to be your biggest concern IMO and all angels are somewhat of a risk on an individual basis.

Just got one and an emperor today, gunna give it a shot. Going through extensive QT as of now. I have mostly SPS and zoa's. I'll report my findings. Wiz ;)
