I just changed my 48 gal hex to a 72 gal bow and my blue hippo is just sitting on the bottom, I checked all my water parimeters and my other fish is fine, are these fish hard to acclimate? please help

They can be very picky. Is it "breathing" quickly? How much aeration/surface water movement do you have?

if params are ok and the fish is healthy he's probably just needs time to adjust. it seems like any kind of change w/ those fish cause them to go into hide/play dead mode. every time i just put my hand in the tank mine lays flat at the bottom on the LR. weird!

I have lots of water flowing 4 power heads and a filter also skimmer. The water was still a little cloudy from the sand but not that.

they are a little shy. Food does the trick.

Even some garlic helps, keeps them feeding which is soooo important to these guys.

i can hand feed mine. im told its quite rare.

try pulling him out using the same water from the tank and quarantining him for a couple of days. acclimate them very slow
