Blue legged hermits are not reef safe. I have tryed to catch them all but just could not.. now ive paid with with the lose of my xenia colony. Caught then red handed. Now they are in the trash can

If you don't want them, take them back to the LFS. Some day if that Xenia becomes a weed in your tank, you'll wish you still had em.
They are a good part of a clean up crew, don't throw them away.

You threw living animals in the trash? That's....not nice. The LFS would have taken them, or another reefer. I suspect, guessing by your 20 hermits, 20 snails, and an emerald crab, that they were probably quite hungry in your 37 gallon.

Some people take these beautiful living creaturs for granite. At least find someone with another tank instead of acting like a frustrated child and killing them.

Wow blue legged hermits eat Xenia? Never heard that one before. Wish I had known sooner, I could have given up on throwing away several pounds of it ever week. I had so much of it, even my LFS didn't want it anymore. lol It's called a weed coral for a reason. If any of it is left, soon you'll wish you still had those hermits.

And umm..... dude you just threw away a living animal!!! Someone should just go and throw away one of your family members!

How could you throw a living animal into the trash. You really need to think about what you did. That was totally wrong and inhuman.

dude, that is going to come back in bit you in the ***. You are going to wish you had those blue legs when your zenia explode in your tank. You throw away a live animal...which you have too many in that tank.

Why on earth would you kill them like that? Most stores give credit, or you could have putten a notice here and I'm sure someone would have taken them. Most of the people here are animal lovers and with the exception of a few critters most are welcome in the tanks. I'm guessing you are the type that throws puppies and kittens in rivers instead of having the mother spayed too.

Karma will come around.

easy easy, I didn't mean that literally. They are in the sump. I love those guys. I had a 90 gallon reef before about 10 years ago and never had issues with them. This time in my smaller tank they have killed my snails and my xenias. but no I have not thrown them in the trash trash. Sorry if you all thought I was a animal killer because I am far from it. lol

Then I owe you an apology. I sincerely apologize for what I said. I have a part time job as an animal cruelty investigator and I can get quite harsh sometimes. The cruelty that mankind is capable of is utterly off the charts.

Again, my apologies.
