Kind of funny.
I got home from work last night and saw a good sized astrea laying on its back at the bottom of the tank and he couldn't reach anything to right himself.
There was this (Zebra?)Hermit standing there and he would every so often just poke at the side of the snail shell with his claw kind of as if to say, "Hey buddy, you OK?"
Pretty soon a crimson hermit saunters over and ole Zebra steps in between the crimson and the snail and gets down right mean towards the crimson. So the Zebra and the Crimson are entertaining themselves, and I reach in and right the snail. Neither of the crabs noticed but pretty soon the crimson wanders off and the Zebra turns back to check on his inebriated buddy and lo and behold...no snail.
I could almost hear him say "***??!! Where did my new house go?!!"
He looks up the tank wall a bit and sees the snail scooterin' away and I swear I saw him sigh and shake his head before wandering off.
Other than that incident, my crabs pretty much leave my snails alone. They tend to pick on each other somewhat but never any real aggression towards each other. They even sometimes ride around on each other for fun and profit.
