how aggresive are the blue line triggers i have a niger and a volitian lion in a 90 gall tank do you think he will do any harm??

Yes eventually. That lion will be the 90 by itself. The niger and blue line were a combination that was a problem for me. Niger picked on the blue line. Had to be split up. Try for yourself though.

If the blueline had gotten bigger, it would have killed the niger. Bluelines get huge. Typically the bigger they are, the meaner they are. IME, for regular hobby triggers (ie, not counting titan triggers) bluelines are the most destructive triggers. They're not as belligerent as the undulated, but they get a lot bigger, so they can do a lot more damage. Scott Michael lists a 200g as the absolute minimum to keep them. You have to go significantly larger than that if you want to keep anything else with them long term.

Totally agree. In my experience also, the blue line grows very fast compared to the niger. I too am wondering how big I can keep it in its 135 now before I have to make the choice of:

-Get rid of all of the other fish?

or

-Get rid of/remove/relocate the blue line?

With that said, I am already starting to see the need for these questions after only having it 4 1/2 months and it growing from about 4" to near 6". May not be much for length, but it is starting to become mean.
