Blue Line Trigger

I am considering a Blue Line Trigger for my aggressive 210g tank. the current inhabitants are a french angel, emperor angel, clown trigger (about 3 inches) a small bursa trigger, purple tang and an assortment of small damsels. would the blue line get along OK in here?

JC, the triggers are generally solitary fish in their native habitats so combining them in a small area even in a large tank such as a 210 may create problems. As I'm sure you are aware the clown trigger can be an extremely aggressive fish, at 3 inches he's small now but down the road very likely will become a problem. A few years ago I had a niger, pink tail and clown in a 155 for more than a year. At one point they started to attack everything, started with the clown first and then began to eat my coral so they had to go. Give it a shot but realize this may not work and you may need to take him back.

I had a blueline for about 2 months. It was the single coolest fish that I had to date. It ate right out of my hand and was real personable. It was not aggressive at all (until feeding time).

I put it in my DT with a larger Niger and it was immediatly attacked. My Niger has never once been aggressive toward anything and it wanted to kill the blueline.

Well, he jumped into my overflow and it took me 3 hours to get him out due to the fact that they can wedge themselves into small spaces and when they raise their trigger it is impossible to get them out.

I subsiquently placed him back in the QT for 3-4 weeks to make sure that he was healthy and there were no effects from the ordeal and took him back to the LFS.

I bought a Crosshatch instead...

I have 2 blue lines they are about the same as clown triggers or queen triggers. But in my oppinion it depends on the personality of the fish as they very from fish to fish.
