Hi, Just got a beautiful blue linkia starfish. Just wonder it is true that they can not be exposed to air when handle. What are the signs that the blue linkia is dying? I don't think mine is dead but just want more infos. thanks

In general they should not be exposed to air. Also they must be drip acclimated for a long time like 3 hours. They are very, very sensitive to changes in condition like salinity, PH, and temp. Also A 65 gallon is probably too small of a tank to house one successfully. Also it usually takes some time for them to start to show any signs of them dying. So dont think that its been a few days so it's fine. Sometime from not acclimating them properly it takes a few weeks or even a few months for them to die. Sorry for the grim news.

I did not have any luck with the one I tried in a 58g. It just starrted to melt, you could see the skeleton coming through the flesh. I transfered water and star to a qt so not to fowl my main tank. Only took a couple of days for it to die.
