blue LPS?

could you post a pic of your scoly. I am hoping there might be something out there a little more 3 dimensional though. Something similiar to a hammer or frogspawn or torch coral that is blue in color.

Is there such a thing as blue candy canes?

I have noticed that blue corals are almost never seen in most tanks, and that color really stands out and adds to a display. Everyone loves fish that are blue. A corla is even better.

I have 2 shades of blue candycane

Actually I only have the bigger one left, sold the 2 headed frag and looking to sell the bigger frag next. Nice color but they don't grow in my tank.

my camera sucks but here is my blue and green favites... it is flat right now but from what ive seen they grow into a mound shape.

You can also find blue favia, lobos that are partially blue, and leptastrea that have some blue.

Ive got a red lobo with a blue center. Lots of blue out there, you just have to look and snap it up when it comes your way.

True blue pigmentation is hard to come by in nature-- in both plants and animals. More often than not with LPS you end up with a grade somewhere between green and purple depending on the lighting. I have seem some photos of some mushrooms that I would call truly "blue", though. Pretty amazing.

Also I would like to add there are many shades of blue some teater on the fringe of what you would consider blue. So in that light it's all a matter of personal opinion. JMO :)

yup i'll find a pic of my scoly.. donavon thats the most awesome coral I think I've ever seen I'm very jealous.. isn't that from Japan or something?

Thanks guys, I'm not sure where it's from. A buddy of mine picked it up for me in Cali. As of a few weeks ago it has a roommate.
