Blue Matix Placement

Hey everyone,

I tracked down a frag of the Reefarmers Blue Matrix and I haven't seen a lot of these around. I was wondering for those who have them where is the best place to put them? I currently have it about 14" about mid level center in my 45 gallon Tech tank with 250 watt 14k Phoenix MH. For flow I have two MP10ES's on opposite sides running full power on reef crest mode. The LFS I picked it up from had three colonies in various locations ranging from the sandbed to the top of the tank.

Do you guys think this placement will be fine or would it be better higher up or lower? Appreciate the help and I want to make sure I keep this guy happy. It's the most expensive acro I've ever purchased and one of the nicest.

Thanks
Chris

Just curious but how did it look in the three different locations in your LFS?

I'd say the higher one had a little less color than the one mid level and in the sandbed. All of them were off center from the MH's, but the most colorful one was in the sandbed. Im just not sure how long they've been in each place. I noticed that 2 of them have been moved around. That's why I'm not sure, where to put it. Heard it coukd go almost anywhere, but I want to get the best color and growth:)

As far as growth if it's the real deal I would say it is one of the slowest growers out there it could take as much as two years to start growing, once it incrusts first.

Yeah, that's what I heard.. Sounds like I got it in a good spot and that's one of the reasons why I bought a 1.25" frag because I heard they grow slow. Spent a little extra, but the 1/2" frags will really take forever..lol Guess that's why it still holds its value:)

Thanks guys...
