Blue maxima question...

hey all,
I am going to be putting a 2'' blue maxima clam in my 55 gallon. I have 5 watts per gallon and 2 marron clowns, 1 long nose hawkfish and a royal gramma. Plus 2 emerald crabs, 1 cleaner shrimp and 1 peppermint shrimp. Would any of these critters harm him? ( I did do research and I don't think I found any neg evidence but I wanted to make sure).

Also, I know I'll have to feed it by placing a small coke bottle top on it so it gets all the marine snow since it is small and depends on food more than light at the moment.

Oh, should I put it on the substrate or can it also be placed on a rock?

Any other comments or suggestions about keeping a blue maxima would be appreciated!

Thanks!

ditch the snow and by the live phyto
needs to be put on a rck or shell or something hard for it to attach too
depending on the type of lighting you can put it on the substrate or high amognst the rock work
all animals should be ok, i'm not totally sure about the emeralds cause i don't own any

5 watts per gallon means pretty much nothing, what type of lights do you have? The 3" rule is very non-specific and for small species such as crocea and maxima, they rely on light at a smaller size than larger species.

Do Maximas actually need to be inthe rockwork or are they ok in the substrate I just got a small maxima and have him sitting on the sandbed and he seems happy..
