Blue neck trigger

I saw a Blue neck trigger at the store and im assuming its the same as a blue jaw trigger?

I would like to know if it is reef safe and if it would bother my fire fish, false percula, madrine or Purple tang in a 75. Its about 3 inches. Would this bother damsels that im thinking about getting too?

Like I posted in the thread on crosshatch triggers, its an odds game. Odds are that the blue (jaw, throat, neck) trigger will not bother your fish. But there are also pretty good odds that it will find your firefish and perhaps your damsels (although most damsels would probably do more harm to the trigger) a nice snack. I had one that attacked my clownfish, and he had to go back to the LFS. That was after he ate all my chromises. But most people will tell you that they are fine, and they they are timid, and don't bother anything. In the end it's all up to the fish. If he happens to see your fish as food, he will eat them. There are no absolutes, and it all a best guess.

the one i had recently raised all kinds of hell in my 125.
ate 8 chromis
bit tails off 2 firefish - (they hid for 3 weeks even after i got him out)
tore half the face of a yellow sleeper
and finally tore the @ss of my lrg bangaii. good bye...

edit: mine was not timid..rather bold..perhaps that temperment was indicative of what to expect.

The trigger they had didnt seem timid, i thought maybe it was just cause he was hungry as hell because i doubt he was fed recently. I see that its a gamble if hell eat my fish but is it a gamble with coral too?
