Blue Polyped Leather??

Has anyone seen one of these? I was at HB library and looking through "The Living Corals" and saw what looked like a blue polyped leather. It was in the "Red Sea" chapter of the book, and thought it looked amazing. Tried to look for in on the net via googlescholar, academic search elite, and through friends at UCSD, and they've never heard of nor seen one.
