Blue sponge help.

I want to move my blue sponge Haliclona sp. because it's grown too big where I originally put it.Do I just cut it off the rocks it's attached to?

I love these guys and I can't believe they're not in every reef tank out there.

They're not indestructible (as I learned in my last move), but they're damn close when they've got the right conditions. Plus that color!!

But I digress. If it's happy enough in your tank that it's growing that fast, you can cut it or even just pull it off the rock and move it without it breaking a sweat. If there's any on the rock, it'll just grow more.
