Blue Spot Jawfish

Just got a Blue Spot Jawfish, but it has not dug a burrow. It made an attempt, but stopped and just swims/hides inside the rocks.

Granted it is only the second day it's been in the tank, should I be concerned?

My only other experience with a Jawfish was a Black Cap Jawfish which dug a burrow the first night in the tank.

Any thoughts or suggestions appreciated.

It will, Give it some time.Its probably scoping out where it would like it's home to be.

Careful what you wish for. He will settle in and may dig up half your tank trying to decide where..lol beautiful fish with lots of personality though and well worth the trouble.

Hope you have placed your rockwork directly on the bottom glass and not on top of the sand, to avoid rock slides!
