blue spotted toby burned from heater, need help

Last night I had to move my heater from the sump to my display for the night for one day and my toby decided to sleep on the titaniun heater and got charred on one side.

Now hes got a huge black sore almost covering his left side, its like twoface. Anyways jokes aside, my toby is showing irradict swimming, flashing, hiding and not eating.

I did a small wc and lowered temp to lower chance of infection. Is there anything I can do or is his condition fatal?

You need to get some antibiotics and out the puffer in a hospital tank and dose a round of antibiotics. Move the heater back into the sump, puffers aren't the only fish that will do this

Hard to tell how bad the burn was. If something is damaged internally then he won't make it. Vitachem and selcon are good additives to food you feed too

Well hes wasnt eating this morning, his left side is literally black charred. Hes a super fat puffer so hope the damage isnt internal. Would melafix be best or other antibiotic?
