Blue Spotted Watchman Gobies

I today I purchased a pair of Blue Dotted Watchman Gobies who presently are residing side by side in the front left corner on top of my 6-8" deep crushed coral substrate.

It looks like I may have purchased a pair?

Does anybody have experience with this type of goby?

Would I want to both with a shrimp as I have two of the gobies.

Some gobies definitely will pair up both with a mate and with a shrimp. You definitely don't need to have a pistol shrimp with them, but it would probably be very interesting!

They are not well suited for crushed coral substrate. They may damage their mouths from trying to dig/sift sand which can lead to their death.

Mine hides alot too. He mostly just sticks his head out from under his rock enough to see whats going every so often. He must be getting enough food from sifting sand because he never gets any a feeding time. Just kinda watches everyone else grub.
