Blue stripe pipes in a 10 gal?

I set up this tank about a month ago. I used live rock and sand from an existing set up that is several years old.

Three sides of the tank are crawling with pods. I am going to add a few more different types of macro algae. I was hoping in another month or two to get a couple of pipes.
There is over a pound of rubble in the back of the tank that you can't see that I piled up for an in tank fuge for the pods.

A little off topic but I like your overflow/return design. Is that a glass tank? If so, any tricks for drilling that thin of a tank?

I have drilled 1" bulkhead holes in a ten gallon two in one of my tanks on the bottom pane. I eurobraced the bottom to add a little strength. The trick is to use plumbers putty around where you are going to drill and put water in there to keep the area lubricated and cool. Next, put some masking tape on the underside of the glass where you will be drilling. This serves two purposes one it will help keep the water from draining out once you start breaking through and it will also keep the piece of glass that you are drilling from falling into one of the other panes. This is also a good indicator of when you start to get close to breaking through because it will start to drip. when it starts to drip you really want to take the weight onff of the glass and just touch the surface of the glass with the bit to keep from getting big chips on the underside of the drill. It is glass, do it exactly the way naubound said. If you don't have plumber's putty, you can make a dam out of duct tape, which is what I did. I'm going to repeat the most important part of what he said, go slloooooww when you get close to the end. Sooooo, opinions on pipefish?

Nice setup!
I was just thinking about what to do with a water return and you solved my problem.
A 30g refug has mutated into something very similar first a mandarin and pistol shrimp then a banded pipe fish and macro algea now all the cheto/caulerpra has been removed.
Looking for another pipe or two and some more interesting inverts.
The piece of flex tube that was fine feeding a refug doesn't cut it in the macro - pipefish - interesting stuff that will be eaten in the other tank - display

When drilling glass I put 2 icecubes in the diamond holesaw.The ice keeps the bit cool, and melts providing a steady supply of water.We use the same trick when drilling holes in granite counter tops

That's a tough question. Could they live in a 10 gallon? I'm sure. But my pair are very active and swim all over the 38 they're in. I suspect a 10 gallon would be very cramped and wouldn't do them justice.
