Blue Tang eye spot?

i have a blue (hippo) tang, i have had him for about a year now, he is about 4 inches long. i noticed the other day that there is a small cloudy spot on his eye. it is only on one side, and is about a 5th the size of his eye. i have no idea what it is. i think he had the same thing a while back, but it just went away and he was fine for a long time. any advice or ideas on what it might be? Thanks

A picture would help.

Since it only covers a portion of the eye and "comes and goes" it sounds like a parasite. Most parasites that attack the eye can be removed with a FW dip or formalin bath.
