Here is one for you....... My blue tang is 5 years old. He is in a 125 gallon tank and is always seems happy and stress free.

Yesterday I noticed some very slight white looking areas along the top of one side of him above the lateral line(looked like fungal). What got me worried was just one obvious white spot on the opposite side of the fish and I feared ICH. But today ( 1 day later) its completely cleared up both the white haze and one spot as if it was a figment of my imagination. It don't make any sense.

Maybe thinking was some sort of injury now.
Wouldn't ICH be more than one spot and last longer than 24 hrs?
Any ideas.... all seems well now.:uhoh3:

I added 2 clownfish 2 months ago that I QT for 2 months so I've had them 4 months with no sign of issues. And i added about 4 corals that were all dipped in coralRX.
My question is if it were some kind of parasite wouldn't it have sighns for more than 1 day??

Yes, the spots that are indicative of Ich, Brook and velvet last more than a day and do not look fungal. Could be something like mucus sloughed off from a coral that got stuck to his mucosal covered skin:spin2:
I wouldn't worry about it at this point.

wouldn't the white spot last more than one day if it was ICH? It definitely looked like an ICH spot but lasted less than 24 hours. and only one spot.
