blue throat triggers and clams

I recently agreed to buy a blue throat trigger from a fellow hobbyist after being told they are reef safe. After doing more reading I'm concerned he may nip at my clams. Are blue throat triggers clam safe? Anyone here have them together with a success or failure?

I know, that is what propted the thread, but then I read that the blue throat was considered reef safe.

Mine never touched any of my clams, corals, shrimp or crabs. Shes bites my hand though. :) They should be kept well fed or else they will go looking for food. It is always a risk though.

If you try it you better make sure the trigger is so stuffed it can barely swim. Keep a close eye on him and be ready to take him out.

No consern yet, the pussmucker won't even come out of his cave. It's a tight space too, he must be timid.

I had a 6 inch male blue throat and he never even glanced at my clams . Had to get rid of my copperband because he loved the maxima .
