Blue tort under LED?

Don't want to make a test subject of this beautiful coral, any one have experience keeping them under LEDs? I have 3 acros under Chinese full spectrum LEDs doing great showing wonderful growth but again I don't want to make a test subject of this coral so any input is much appreciated. Cheers!

I lost both my established metal halide grown Cali Tort and Oregon Blue Tort colonies after switching to my new tank with Blue/Royal Blue/White LED's back in 2011. Not a RTN or bleaching event, they just circled the drain until they were gone.
Maybe the newer LED technology can support them.

I have a cali tort and oregon tort that are doing very well under AI Hydra 26HDs. The cali has maintained great color and started to grow well since I picked it up and the Oregon I just got this past weekend, but seems to be doing well.

Thank you guys for your feed back. Ros_sco, I know what you mean with the whites and the blues. I've got a friend who had the same experience with his tort. Not sure if it was the same fixtures but definitely the same colored lights. Not that I wasn't considering that info I had, was just curious about the full spectrum lights. Again, thank you guys for the responses

I have a Miyagi tort and an Oregon tort. Both are doing fine. The Miyagi is recovering from being over lit. It sits at the top of my reef. The Oregon was give to me as a rescue, it was all grey and half dead when I got it. I estimate it is 80% recovered. It is blue again, but not as dark as it should be.

Same here. I have both of these and both are doing fine. I've got the Miyagi near the top and the Oregon on the bottom. I'd like to move the Oregon up, but I'm a bit afraid since I've burned sps near the top before. Besides the Oregon is a very small frag, so I'm playing it safe. I've had both of these for about 1 year. The Miyagi grows pretty fast, but the Oregon is a VERY slow grower - beautiful color though.

BTW, I have a 40B, with 2 165w chinese fixtures + 2 T5 HO about 8 inches off the water.

Thank you for all the responses. I fear that the positive responses, small sample size being 4 in the positive, have pushed me over the edge and I'm going to give it a try. For those of you with blue torts under LEDs could you post some pictures so I can know what kind of colors to expect, deep royal blue obviously, just curious if there's any minute differences? I've seen different corals exhibit different colors under LEDs vs t5 and halides. For example, one of the frags of my Miami orchid acro developed a royal blue tip vs light lavender tips that a friend of mine has under t5s. I wish I could post a picture but my damselfish confiscated the frag and buried it somewhere well out of my reach, those little jerks. Anyway, some pics would be cool and thank you guys again

I have several torts under hydra 52s and they are doing very well. I'll try to post some picks when I get back home on Friday.

Blue should be easy under almost any LEDs, though I've never used any Chinese LEDs I've used Kessils since 2011.

This is kind of crappy photo, the coral was 4' from the glass.

Blue Tenuis and Jedi with blue tips. Not tortes, but neither of these has this much blue under T5. They've been under Kessils for a year.

is that really growing on the clam shell?! Well, I guess that's one good way to shake particles off of the coral

very nice, is it a derasa? And is that an indicator that you're keeping the tort relatively low in the tank or do you have the clam up on the rocks, and what kind of LEDs are you running?
