Blue Trach

You're the one that asked. You say you haven't received this coral yet but you've shown it to people in person. Sounds like it's yours and you're trying to sell it.
Nope. You misunderstood. I meant that the picture was shown to people in person rather than you guys online.

The egg crate it is sitting on looks about the same shade of blue too.

That's what's weird. If you look at the first pic, it actually looks like there is purple coraline on it because at the right side it's solid white. The second pic shows some weird white plastic material that's mostly white but it has blue on part of it. It's like the actinics are hitting it from the sides or something.

It's pretty, but saying that's 'blue' is a stretch. It's a very light teal or white with a slight blue tint.

You've been on RC for a long time, sporadically, and you ask a question and then get defensive over the comments you get and you claim to know everything already so why even ask? You don't get the answers you want and post color blind tests and make wise cracks to replies so what's the point of this thread? I see the coral has a bluish tint to it. Is that what you want to hear? I like the coral, it's nice. I would put it in my tank.

ok, now since you posted a second pic, which the lighting is different. you can see some powder blue. however, in the first pic it does not show. maybe if you would have showed the second pic first ppl wouldnt have been saying there is no blue. not a bold hue but its there

Thanks. Your input is well appreciated. On a side note, can you post a pic of yourself so I can comment?

That's me! I'm about as blue as your coral ;)

It does show. In both pics. I didn't post the second one originally because knowing the RC crowd, they would bash it right away for over-saturation, only actinics, photo shopped, etc... I'm damned if I do, I'm damned if I don't. The RC folks have really turned negative in the last couple of years. I remember when it used to be quite a nice community of people that knew "if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all". Nowadays you post a coral pic with a question and all you get is people talking crap.

Who said anything about your color. Are you a racist? Oh and get a haircut you girl.:frog:

You got me man, never liked those smurfs one dang bit!
:uzi::bounce1:

Bee tea dubs, the coral is pretty, I was just stirring the pot. The hue is there, just not prominent. Good luck and hope the color stays. This hobby is full of nay sayers, as long as you like a coral, who really cares what the rest of the world thinks?

Wouldn't you get defensive? All I did was ask if anyone knows if this color will change. 99% of the responses are people talking crap about the coral and saying it isn't a color that it clearly is. Yeah maybe my post to you was a little unnecessary but all the negative comments kinda put me in a bad mood. Some people on here need to learn some manners. You don't think it's blue.....move along. I didn't ask for people to tell me their opinion on the color. Then some of the comments like "kinda ugly" and look sick. props on the sick trachy". Totally out of line and out of place.

Yeah I don't get the answers I want. They have nothing to do with my questions.

Is that what I want to hear? No. I never asked what color it is. In fact I have pointed that out multiple times now. I DONT CARE WHAT YOU THINK THE COLOR IS EVERYONE! Is that clear enough?

So if you didn't care what we thought about the color, then why did you post the pic?

It just seems like you're the one who's being rather mean-spirited. Post a pic so I can comment? Really?

I looked at the first picture, couldn't see the blue you're talking about either. So when you're talking about the wonderful blue, and we don't see it, then its natural for us to wonder what you're talking about, since we don't see it.

Anyways, coral colors change color for all sorts of reasons, so there really is no way to tell if your blue coral is going to stay blue, or white, or whatever color it is. Lighting, chemistry, food, trace elements... etc. So the only way to know if it'll change is to wait and see, like others have said. If you don't like that answer, then Captain obvious away.

But I think Captain obvious could say a few things about yourself too....
