Blue tubs being eaten?

I have had zoo's before with great success. Just recently, I purchased some blue tubs from the local fish store. When I acclimated them everything went well. All of my lighting, water perimeters, and current are all in check. But....I do have a problem. It seems when the lights go out all of the little arthropods will gather over the blue tubs and in the morning, a couple of heads will be missing. So far I have lost 10 heads! I then took out the blue tubs from the tank, and put them in a small tank by themselves with no problems. No heads missing. They are opening up fine. I have been told that the arthropods in my reef tank are only scavengers and not predators. What gives? Am I the only person that this has happened to? Upon putting them back in my main reef tank, when night fell, the arthropods came out like a pack of zombies and went for kill. (Completely covering the blue tubs) So I took the tubs out once again. Please someone help.

Are you sure it's arthopods and not Nudibranches? Try take out the zoas and dip in coral RX, it should help to remove some of the nasty stuffs.
