Blue zoo frag alwaysss melts!!

I have greens, coppers, eagle eyes, orange, pink,...but the blue one's melt away? Why? Tell me why????? I have a 3 year old established Biocube 29 with a Sunpod 150 hqi.

what type of blue, tubs? Caribeannes?palys? zoanthid?

Acclimated properly? Dipped?

Sad, but not sure. Just a plane blue zoo I think, nothing special.

started at bottom. Didn't open. Called LFS, and he said they are high light, so I moved it middle, and it melted 50 percent in one day. I think it's a goner.

Move it back down, under good indirect flow and leave them be. Mybe slightly shade them as so they don't get blasted directly by the lighting.

How long did you leave them on the bottom before you moved them? (total time in tank ) What lfs did you get them? Sometimes acclimation is slower than other zoas.

Shade em till they recover.... just cuz thier closed doesn't mean thier dying... "melting" then u can be worried..

It was on bottom for two days before I panicked. Then guy told me to me them to mid. I'll try to move them down. Wish me luck!

When I get a new frag of Zoa I usually place it on a frag rack in my tank for a couple of weeks. I do this just in case so nothing can mess with it if it does start to stress out.
