They are good after the rains. 1 pie and several handfuls later I can attest to that. The ones lower on the hill seem sweeter and a bit riper, too, but I'm sure that will all change now that the weather is promising sun no rain for awhile. Be sure and take the kids; they'll enjoy it and can run around amongst the bushes and sample the produce to their heart's content.
