Bluejaw Trigger Suddenly in hiding

I have about a 4-5" bluejaw trigger who is day 3 hiding. Until the previous day he had been himself, the biggest food begger, always following people when he saw us.

Then one day, couldn't find him. Won't come out for food passing by, backed into the same cave. Will move his eyes. Actually will eat if I puff some mysis his way.

1 day earlier he was still "fat and happy" as far as I could tell. In a mixed reef setup with no additions for at least 6 months.

All others seem well.

The only even I can think of was a thunderstorm the day he went into hiding. And the tank lights went totally out for less than an hour in the middle of the day.

Hoping he's just 'scared' or crazy and not actually sick, but suspicious he's sick. Or will be if not eating.

I've never seen any other fish aggression towards him (male). others: hippo, purple, yellow tangs, some small ocellaris.

I'm changing water and rechecking everything I can...

Any thoughts? Anyone ever had their most gregarious fish become a recluse for reasons other than sick? This guy looks spotless from what he'll show....

I have read everyone else's posts about NEW bluejaws hiding. But this buy was so bold for 9 months+ he'd seek humans to follow around the sides of the tank.

I always wondered exactly where he'd swim or bite if there was no glass... (yes, I know, on the FLOOR.... I mean if we were both in the ocean perhaps) :)

I have a 2 year old who has been doing this for 3 days. Not sure why he started hiding. he is usually out all the time.
