blueridge in white

i have this blueridge with a large white patch growing in it and was wondering if anny one elss has ever seen one in white or is his new to the hobby?

I have grown this blue ridge out from a flat frag about the size of a nickel. Its been growing about 8 years now..this pic is from 2 years ago...its grown out of the water surface now!! You can see the red spot at the base..that was white at one point, it did not harm the colony and over time new tissue has actually grown over completly. I dont have a new pic to share but i would not worry too much about it, just check your mag levels and calcium levels cuz this type of coral although a soft coral uses those minerals and it could be why its turning white. As far as charging for frags..around here( Boston) frags of this are worth next to nothing.

no mine seems like a albino or lucistic (s.p.)?thr rest of the new groth seems fine.

It could be in the shedding.

It kinda looks like dead tissue to me. Does it extend white polyps in the white area?

yes it does and it has bin growing in aria for more than 2 years.:wavehand:
