bluethroat attacking my clams

I have had two maximas and a squam for over three years and have bought two bluethroat triggers about 6 months ago. All of a sudden my male bluethroat is diving into the open mouth of the clams. Other than seriously making them mad what is happening? Is he eating them? I dont see the outside mantle torn. Is he getting inside and doing damage?

It is hard to say without pic's, but yes he is definatly stressing them. I would remove the fish asap

do the clams not close up??

triggers can be ( and usually are ) very aggressive carnivores and i don't think they are to picky about adding clam to their diet.

They say that the bluethroat trigger is the best reefsafe trigger, but i guess buyer beware. That sucks i really like those triggers, but not to sure if i wanna take the chance anymore after stories like these.
