BM dosing pump VS profilux dosing pump

can anyone advice what the difference between these two are ? besides the rate ?

I have the BM doser and for what it does and what i use it for, it works fine. It's not that loud as others have mentioned. When the cabinet is closed i don't really hear it all that much. The instructions that come with it aren't very helpful, so I'd look for a guide on here.

It's farily easy to use once you play with the menus. You can set how many ml to dose per day and you can break it out to however many times you want to dose throughout a 24hr cycle period. For example if you dose 20ml, and you want it broken up to 4 times a day, it'll dose 5ml every 6hours. The con on that is you can't really set a specific time for each dosing, only the start time and how many times per day.

Other than that, it works fine for me. Unfortunately i don't have exp. with the proflux so I can't comment on that product.

a question for you. for example if you want to dose KH and CA++, can you set it so it does not dose them at the same time ? or all those done automatically ?

I guess you can leave an hour in between the start time of each channel so it doses an hour apart ?

Actually it will automatically set each pump 5min apart if you set it to dose at the same time. This way it doesn't all go on at once. So you have Calcium at 12:00, ALK will start at 12:05.

I had my BM dose about a year now....added the expansion module this fall. It is a great investment as I travel and good deal and it keeps my parameters solid.

I have the GHL stand-alone (Profilux) 4-channel doser. Dead quiet and with all the bells and whistles. I'd do it again tomorrow in a heartbeat.

actually i hate the price of GHL doser but the biggest problem is those who use GHL controller are kinda forced to use GHL doser that is compatible to the controller. BM doser fails to do so.

so actually the GHL doser is kinda like a hatchhiker to me! i dont want to but ive got to!
