The center reflector is finished with the Aluminum tape that seals the sides. The tape is not taped onto the reflector so it can be removed. This also helps prevent light beams onto the ceiling.

Ok here is another picture and some explanation of the lights
They are mounted above the canopy which allows them to site 14 inches from bulb to the top of the water level in the tank. This also for 2 things to happen
1. I can get inside the canopy and work inside the tank
2. I get a much larger spread of light

The Aluminum brace holds the Reflectors upright. They are centered by the cutout and brackets I made that site inside the canopy

Since the stand is so tall you cant really see the reflectors if your looking at the tank

Here is an eye shot level, but remember the stand is 40" tall so unless your 7 foot tall you wont see these.

Now I understand it better. That's really cool, because you can see the "behind the scenes tour" when you start to look closely, but for the most part it actually is invisible.

How hard was it to get the openings the right size for those reflectors? ;)

It wasnt that hard, I measured the Canopy out and figured out where I wanted the reflectors, they are slightly center. Then I placed the reflectors outlined them and cut it out with a jig saw.

I have a Profilux and havent had any problem with the new supplier Aqua-digital.Great support.

I dont have anything against Aqua digital

The problem I had is that I was in the process of getting one from my local store whom was working with Proline...
Need I say more :)

If you go with the Profilux, you won't have any issues, it's a great controller. I'll be putting it on my new 60g cube.

Yes I have done allot of research and I think the Profilux is the best controller out there at the moment.
I really like the EX models

A Profilux or an Ex?

LOL
The new high line Profilux is an EX.... The EX version comes with most the ports installed so you dont have to use your expansion slots for the Conductivity and Redux

I'm guessing this'll cost you a small fortune. I'll just enjoy it vicariously. ;)

Yes it will definatly cut into my sump fund!

This is the wall behind the tank were I mount all the lights etc..
I am working on the new light wiring. I got the ballast mounted but am waiting on some new connectors. I am going to use quick connectors for everything that is mounted in the Canopy. This makes it easy to take the canopy off if needed without worrying about pulling wires.

The Controller and all electrical will be mounted on this wall also. This will keep all my electrical from being under the tank

Aaron could you post some info on the Hofer Gurgle Buster ? Did a search but the link to his page is not working. A.G.E makes so sweet tanks, they're gonna make my next one if that ever happens.
