Bodianus opercularis?

I acquired this fish a couple of weeks ago believing it to be a Bodianus opercularis, but have not been able to find any other pictures of other individuals with the yellow coloring. Is the yellow common with the species? Regardless, I sure like him.

Yes it is Bodianus opercularis. some of the slender Bodianus, such as opercularis, neopercularis, and "kimura" show the yellow as a regional variant, and also at different stages of maturity, at least in aquaria they do.

Sir according to my friend the yellow coloration can be a variant..
How's the Sudanese regal ?

Thanks. The regal is not eating much yet. He is healthy, picks at the live rock, but not eating any of the food I put in: clams, live blackworms, mysis, Rod's food, Hikari angelfish blend...
