Bonide stomp out/stump removal

Is it ok to use any stump remover like the one above to increase nitrate or is there a specific one needed. I used to carbon dose but have stopped about 3 weeks now but still my no3 stay at zero and po4 will not fall below 0.08 (red sea algae control kit) even with brs gfo. So bought this product at the hardware store but wanna be sure that it is safe to use. Thanks.

According to the SDS sheet, that contains Sodium Metabisulfite. Not sure exactly what that is, but it doesn't sound good. Avoid!

I think you might be looking for Spectracide Stump Remover which contains 100% Potassium Nitrate. Do a lot of research before dosing though and start slow!

I did the same thing. Almost bought bonide, then realized it was not kno3.
Got spectracide instead. Pure potassium nitrate.

If your looking to dose nitrate,,,get the PURE or LAB/TECH grade version of SODIUM NITRATE,,,in powder form,,you can find it online or ebay..
