Bonsai and green slimer bleached?

These are my first two SPS and while the polyps are still bright green on both, the "stalk" is a tannish color on both. I have 2 250w MH and they are both near the top. Is there something I am missing? Thanks in advance

did you light acclimate them?, where they shipped to you or store bought? if they where shipped to you then they might be stressed and need time to recover, check water quality, altough it might not be a param thats out of whack but just to be sure, if everything is a ok then i would consider letting them be and be patient for them to get acostumed to your water, flow and light

FWIW the body on my green slimer is tan color too, only the polyps are the ones that are green and that is what gives it it's color, sorry i dont have a bonsai

good luck

How long have you had them? Do you have a pic?

Brown or tan does not necessarily mean bleached but white would. It could be the coral is adjusting to your lights or tank conditions. I have seen corals go brown just in shipping or with a change in bulb. It could be your tank parameters are not right too... Like high phosphate. It could be to little light too which means a higher concentration of zooxanthellae .

But you really do not tell us much so it is hard to really help you.
