I've been playing around with some really low, wide angle shots lately. My Gitzo can get pretty low but the camera is still about a foot off of the ground. I wanted lower.

I found this little Manfrotto setup and it's pretty cool. It's a 209 set of legs with a 482 BH. I added a Really Right Stuff clamp so it works with my existing L-bracket. I don't have live view on my camera so I rely on an angled viewfinder but I can't wait to get out and start playing with it.

I might end up picking up a RRS BH-25 at some point as this little guy can't hold much weight but for now it'll work.

That's cute!!!!!! How far off the ground??

I've been using this for over 25 years.

better bring some drop cloths or wear good gear. You're gonna be making like a carpet to use that thing (and probably be getting some cool shots too!).

 - yeah no kidding. I actually have an angled viewfinder that I use when I'm trying to get low. It's a bit of a hassle but it works.
