box puffer

I just bought a box puffer from my lfs I seen it eat in the store but when I tried to feed him the next day it won't take food, I even tried to put krill right at it's nose and all it did was swim away. Since I got it he just sits on the bottom of the tank. Any idea's on what else I could try, or should I just relax and wait to see if it just takes him some time to get used to it's new home?

How long have you had him? It may just take a bit of time. It took about a week until my porc ate. What I did was put a piece of prawn soaked in garlic on a feeding stick and put it right up against his mouth. I actually would rub it against his mouth and he would just bite as a reaction I think. Anyways he realized it was good and began eating like that. At first I had to always feed him with this stick and put the food right in his mouth but eventually he would come to the stick and now all he wants to do is eat!

Give that a shot maybe...
