BoyuTL450H newbie reef

Hi everyone, my name is Andy and I am from Romania (Europe). I want to start my journal here, and I hope that I will get very helpful advice from you guys. I really enjoy reef central forum.
The aquarium is a BOYU TL450H model (aka ORCA450) got everything: skimmer, pump, uv light, heater, light and so on.
I have made some modifications:
I am using atm this filtration: 1L Seachem Matrix, 500ml Seachem De-Nitrate (a 200l/h separate reactor DYI), JBL Phosex Ultra, Seachem Carbon.
I am thinking on using some 2-3 cm live rock pieces for better filtration.
I also aded a Sicce Voyager 1 as wave maker

I used 4 kg live rock and 2 kg Aquadeco dry rock
4-5 kg live sand
Red Sea PRO salt
I am using Microbacter 7(USA) for water changes.


My tank is 8 days old atm. I have not used UV and Protein skimmer yet but since yesterday I added JBL phosex ultra because I was afraid of the junk I got from the dry rock.
PH = 8.0 (measured with Hanna digital sensor)
Temp = 26 degrees
Salinity = 1.023
 
Since I`m going to upgrade to a 120 L tank (around 35g) I really need you guys to give me a link easy to DIY overflow system....I did not understand the bean animal one :( please help
 
no one ? :( I was thinking of this: a plexiglass box to cover the hole drilled into the glass so the fish won`t get into the evacuation path.
the top of the plexi glass will have small holes so that the water will pass without falling.
what do you think ?
