Brain coral

Hope I'm in the right area.

I recently aquired a salt water tank that was not taken care of at all.
110g, salinity is good, temp is good but some of the fish and coral are suffering from the move and the change in water quality.

The brain coral has tissue loss on one side. Should I do anything? How do I know if it has died?

Do you know what kind of brain coral it is? I don't know if all "brain" corals are LPS, but if it's a favia, favites or other LPS "brain" you'll get better responses in the LPS forum.
