Brain recession

a friend of mine gave a brain to me that was getting nipped at in his tank.. it had receeded along the edge leading to the mouth.. the rest of the brain looks good.. i gave it a lugols dip to try and prevent any further recession.. so far so good..its in lower light and lower flow. if the edge leading to the mouth is recessed and a small part of the mouth is as well do you think i would be able to feed it?? do you think it has a chance after recessing.. i have brought back other LPS(candy, hammer, frog, torch) coral but IMO the brains are a little different usually when they start to recess, thats the start to the end, but i have seen some bring them back.. what do you think the best plan to get this back into shape?? thanks

IME,if it will accept food,it usually recovers.

i think its toast, it just keeps receeding, i cant get it to stop.. i put it in little to no flow, low light, and dipped it.. just keeps recessing further.. i took it out because i dont want it dying in my tank and raising my levels..
